Here’s a little sunshine

“Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it.”
― Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love

So we made it this far, haven’t we? Take a deep breath and pat yourself on the back. You did SO WELL! As the year ends, I feel nothing but thankful for everything that it taught me. I wouldn’t grow as a person if I did not experience both happy and sad sides of this roller-coaster ride called life. Thankful and grateful. For things given to me and things taken away from me. I believe (and I promise), happiness finds you in the end; even if you are hiding in the darkest room. It finds you and fills you up with more light than before. Don’t ever lose hope and don’t ever stop fighting to protect your heart and your sanity.

I’ll save the rest of my thoughts for my last write-up of the year (Like every year). For now, let’s dive into this post!

I woke up to sunshine hitting my eyes the other day. Oh, the happiness I felt in my heart was truly unexplainable. I jumped out of the bed and decided to embrace the day while the sunshine lasted. I put together this snug and chic winter outfit to get the day rolling. An over-sized sweater with balloon sleeves, a pleated floral midi skirt and knee-high boots did the trick for me . I finished the look by adding delicate jewellery and a black faux-leather short sling bag. And there I went off, dancing away in the bright sun!

Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed shooting for it. Back with more!

Until then, stay kind and keep that smile intact!
