Neutrals// July (Twenty Nineteen)

“To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.”
― Arundhati Roy, The Cost of Living

Hello, all you beautiful souls. We meet again. Sooner this time, delighted I am!

When I sit down to write a post in late hours of the night, I am often dreamy. Aren’t we all? So, before I jump into the post, I urge you to vibe with me and enjoy the song above while scrolling through here.

In this post, I’m exposing my love for neutral aesthetics through this easily styled look (noon to night, if you may please). When I began styling, I just couldn’t help but pick most of my neutral favourites from the closet and layer them together. A tube midi-dress is styled with a spring-summer trench coat (We need summer coats in summer here- I see Vancouver nodding!) , a tan cross-body purse and colour-blocked black office heels to finish the look. For adding a beautiful little detail, I stacked a couple of beige and gold rings because jewellery, my friends, is important.

Scroll below and have a look:
